If you are a parent that is interested in having your child(ren) attend Brighter Horizon School and would like to apply to the Louisiana Scholarship Program, registration is now open. This allows children who are attending Public Schools to go to private schools such as Brighter Horizon School, an Islamic School.
STEP #1: Make sure you are eligible (INCOME, PREVIOUS PUBLIC SCHOOL “GRADE”).
STEP #2: Go to the application: https://webapps.doe.louisiana.gov/ScholarshipsOnlineApp/
And Put in your CHILD’s information in the application (date of birth, social security number, Address, Parent/guardian information, email address, previous school information).
NOTE: On the 2nd page of the application you are required to list ALL SIBLINGS and their social security numbers. Please do not miss this important section.
STEP #3: Submit/Save the application. You will receive a confirmation in your e-mail and instructions saying you must come to the school (Brighter Horizon School: 1896 Wooddale Blvd, Baton Rouge 70806) within 72 hours of applying and bring PROOF OF INCOME & PROOF OF RESIDENCY. The e-mail will list all the acceptable forms of income and residency.
STEP #4: In Late March you will receive a response from the Department of Education regarding your application.
