Location and Brief History
- LSU Masjid Al Noor is located at 820 W Chimes St, Baton Rouge, LA 70802.
- Established in 1978 by Baton Rouge Muslim Community and a group of LSU students from Malaysia and other countries.
- For local Muslim Community, LSU Masjid Al Noor was the only masjid until 2001.
- Due to the high growth in local Muslim Community, another masjid (Masjid Al Rahman, at 285 E Airport Ave, Baton Rouge, LA 70806) was built.
- Both Masjid Al Rahman and LSU Masjid Al Noor are managed by the same Board of Directors.
Reconstruction
- After 45 years, LSU Masjid Al Noor needs reconstruction to accommodate high number of LSU Muslim students, their families, and families of nearby Muslim Community.
- The Proposed Plan of New 5 story building will include:
- Level 01 (Ground Level): Parking
- Level 02: Men and Women Prayer Area
- Level 03: Dining, Activity, Dawah Center
- Level 04 and Level 05: Students and Family Units, to cover the Operating Cost of the masjid

Cost and Donation
- The estimated construction cost of the new mosque is approximately $5 million. ICBR Board has raised approximately $300,000 up to date.
